Sufismo: Rumi (Masnavi:I,2425-2430) – amor de mulher

2425. Quando um caldeirão se interpõe entre (eles [água e fogo  ]), ó rei, ele (o fogo) aniquila a água e a converte em ar.

Se exteriormente você está dominando sua esposa  , como a água (que apaga o fogo), (ainda) interiormente você está dominado e está buscando (o amor de) sua esposa.

Isso é característico do Homem (sozinho): para os (outros) animais   o amor está faltando, e essa (falta de amor) surge da (sua) inferioridade (para o Homem).

Explicação da Tradição: “Em verdade, elas (as mulheres) prevalecem sobre o sábio, e o ignorante prevalece sobre elas”.

O Profeta   disse que a mulher prevalece sobremaneira sobre os sábios e inteligentes,

(Enquanto), por outro lado, os homens ignorantes prevalecem sobre as mulheres, pois neles está aprisionada a ferocidade do animal.

 

2430. Falta ternura, bondade e afeto  , porque a animalidade predomina sobre sua natureza (humana).

Amor e ternura são qualidades humanas, raiva   e luxúria são qualidades animais.

Ela (mulher) é um raio   de Deus  , ela não é tão amada (terrena): ela é criativa, pode-se dizer que ela não é criada.

Como o homem cedeu ao pedido de sua esposa para que ele buscasse os meios de subsistência, e considerou a oposição dela (a ele) como uma indicação divina. (Versículo):

Para a mente   de todo homem conhecedor é um fato que com o objeto giratório há um que o faz girar.

O homem ficou tão triste por aquele discurso (dele) quanto na hora da morte um oficial tirânico (sente) por sua tirania.

Ele disse: “Como me tornei o adversário (daquela que é) a vida da minha alma  ? Como dei   chutes na cabeça da minha alma?”

2425. When a cauldron comes between (them), O king, it (the fire) annihilates the water and converts it into air.

If outwardly thou art dominating thy wife, like the (fire-quenching) water, (yet) inwardly thou art dominated and art seeking (the love of) thy wife.

This is characteristic of Man (alone): to the (other) animals love is wanting, and that (want of love) arises from (their) inferiority (to Man).

Explanation of the Tradition  , “Verily, they (women) prevail over the wise man, and the ignorant man prevails over them.”

The Prophet said that woman prevails exceedingly over the wise and intelligent,

(While), on the other hand, ignorant men prevail over woman, for in them the fierceness of the animal is imprisoned.

 

2430. They lack tenderness, kindness, and affection, because animality predominates over their (human) nature.

Love and tenderness are human qualities, anger and lust are animal qualities.

She (woman) is a ray of God, she is not that (earthly) beloved: she is creative, you might say she is not created.

How the man yielded to his wife’s request that he should seek the means of livelihood, and regarded her opposition (to him) as a Divine indication. (Verse):

To the mind   of every knowing man it is a fact that with the revolving object there is one that causes it to revolve.

The man became as sorry for that speech (of his) as at the hour of death a tyrannical officer (is sorry) for his tyranny.

He said, “How did I become the adversary of (her who is) the life of my soul? How did I bestow kicks on the head of my soul?”
