gr.

πάσχειν: to be determined from without [Heidegger  , GA19]
[BPTraites1-6  :129]
Does emotion disturb body, soul, or an aspect of soul? See 7(a) above for Aristotle’s rejection of the idea of soul as self-moving, or moved in any way, and for his idea that the capacities which constitute the soul are not literally affected, but only activated.

Plotinus  ’ views have been traced by John Dillon and others and three positions have been distinguished. First, in an early treatise, Plotinus suggests that the whole soul can reach apatheia through purification, so that it scarcely suffers emotion, and even for the body, shocks (plegai) will be reduced. The passage is paraphrased by Porphyry   Sentences ch. 32, 33,3-34,10 Lamberz. [SorabjiPC1  :281]
