“Since the One is the cause of the being of everything else, they are in the One. How? Virtually or eminently, and not in the manner in which they exist as finite beings” (GERSON, L. P., God and Greek Philosophy (London and New York, 1994), p. 208). Claras são a esse respeito as palavras de Plotino  : “Mas como o Uno é princípio de todas as coisas? (...) Porque as possuía já. (...) Sim, já as possuía, mas não-distintas. Distintas são apenas no segundo momento, no Lógos, onde já estão em ato. O Uno somente é a potência de tudo” (En. V, 3, 15, 28-33). Cf. etiam En.
