Wei Wu Wei (OS:36) – Existência de Deus

Ninguém acredita que ele não existe,

Ninguém jamais acreditou, ou jamais acreditará que ele não existe.

Por que é assim?

Porque não há nenhuma entidade para acreditar que ele não existe. [Se houvesse uma entidade para acreditar que ele não existe, ele existiria.] Isso é o que significa dizer que ele não existe nem não existe. [Há uma solução de continuidade   entre o que ele é e o conceito “existente/não existente”, ou seja, como aquela entre a própria lua   e o conceito de seu reflexo em uma poça.]

O que, então, ele é?

Ele é a ausência daquilo que não é,

Que é tudo o que ele pode pensar   que é.

Nobody believes that he does not exist,

Nobody ever has believed, or ever will believe that he does not exist.

Why is that?

Because there is no entity to believe that he does not exist. [If there were an entity to believe that he did not exist he would thereby exist.] That is what is meant by saying that he neither exists nor does not exist. [There is a solution of continuity between what he is and the concept “existing/non-existing,” i.e., like that between the moon itself and the concept of its reflection in a puddle.]

What, then, is he?

He is the absence of that which he is not,

Which is all that he can think that he is.
