Rumi (Masnavi:I,750-755) – filhos da luz

750. O brilho da janela gira a casa  , porque o sol   vai de signo   em signo do zodíaco.

Qualquer um que tenha afinidade   com uma estrela   (planeta) tem uma concordância (de qualidades) com sua estrela.

Se sua estrela ascendente for Vênus, toda a sua inclinação, amor e desejo são para a alegria  ;

E se nasceu sob Marte, alguém cuja natureza é derramar sangue  , ele busca guerra  , malignidade e inimizade.

Além das estrelas (materiais) estão estrelas nas quais não há conflagração ou aspecto sinistro,

 

755. (Estrelas) movendo-se em outros céus, não esses sete   céus conhecidos por todos,

(Estrelas) imanentes no esplendor da luz de Deus  , nem unidas umas às outras nem separadas umas das outras.

Quando o ascendente (fortuna  ) de alguém é (de) essas estrelas, sua alma   queima os infiéis ao expulsá-los.

Sua raiva   não é (como) a raiva do homem   nascido sob Marte — perversa, e de tal natureza que é (agora) dominante e (agora) dominada.

A luz   dominante (dos santos) está protegida contra defeitos e torpezas entre os dois   dedos da Luz de Deus.

750. The window-gleam runs round the house, because the sun goes   from sign to sign of the zodiac.

Any one who has affinity with a star (planet) has a concurrence (of qualities) with his star.

If his ascendant star be Venus  , his whole inclination and love and desire is for joy;

And if he be one born under Mars, one whose nature is to shed blood, he seeks war and malignity and enmity.

Beyond the (material) stars are stars in which is no conflagration or sinister aspect,

 

755. (Stars) moving in other heavens, not these seven heavens known to all,

(Stars) immanent in the radiance of the light of God, neither joined to each other nor separate from each other.

When any one’s ascendant (fortune) is (from) those stars, his soul burns the infidels in driving (them) off.

His anger is not (like) the anger of the man born under Mars —perverse, and of such nature that it is (now) dominant and (now) dominated.

The dominant light (of the saints) is secure from defect and dimness between the two fingers of the Light of God.
