8. Nossa natureza búdica [Buddha  -Nature] original é, na verdade mais elevada, desprovida de qualquer átomo de objetividade. É vazio  , onipresente, silencioso, puro; é uma alegria   pacífica gloriosa e misteriosa — e isso é tudo. Entre profundamente nela despertando para ela você mesmo. Aquilo que está diante de você é, em toda a sua plenitude  , totalmente completo. Não há nada além. Mesmo se você passar por todos os estágios do progresso de um Bodhisattva em direção ao estado   de Buda, um por um; quando finalmente, em um único lampejo, você atingir a plena realização  , você estará apenas percebendo a Buddha-Nature   que esteve com você o tempo todo; e por todos os estágios anteriores você não terá acrescentado nada a ela. Você chegará a ver essas eras de trabalho   e realizações como nada mais do que ações irreais realizadas em um sonho  . É por isso que o Tathagata   disse: ‘Eu realmente não alcancei nada da Iluminação completa e insuperável. Se algo tivesse sido alcançado, o Buda Dipamkara não teria feito a profecia   a meu respeito.’ Ele também disse: ‘Este Dharma   é absolutamente sem distinções, nem alto nem baixo, e seu nome é Bodhi  .’ a fonte   de tudo e que, quer aparecendo como seres sencientes ou como Budas, como os rios e montanhas do mundo que tem forma, como aquilo que não tem forma, ou como penetrando todo o universo  , é absolutamente sem distinções, não existindo tal entidades como o eu   e a alteridade  .

8. Our original Buddha-Nature is, in highest truth, devoid of any atom of objectivity. It is void, omnipresent, silent, pure; it is glorious and mysterious peaceful joy—and that is all. Enter deeply into it by awaking to it yourself. That which is before you is it, in all its fullness, utterly complete. There is naught beside. Even if you go through all the stages of a Bodhisattva’s progress towards Buddhahood, one by one; when at last, in a single flash, you attain to full realization, you will only be realizing the Buddha-Nature which has been with you all the time; and by all the foregoing stages you will have added to it nothing at all. [1] You will come to look upon those aeons of work and achievement as no better than unreal actions performed in a dream. That is why the Tathāgata said: ‘I truly attained nothing from complete, unexcelled Enlightenment. Had there been anything attained, Dīpamkara Buddha would not have made the prophecy concerning me.’ [2] He also said: ‘This Dharma is absolutely without distinctions, neither high nor low, and its name is Bodhi.’ It is pure Mind  , which is the source of everything and which, whether appearing as sentient beings or as Buddhas, as the rivers and mountains of the world which has form, as that which is formless, or as penetrating the whole universe, is absolutely without distinctions, there being no such entities as selfness and otherness.
